Functions

• •  Technical evaluation of Water Sector Projects (WAPDA, PIDs, other agencies);
  • Expert advice is rendered on any engineering matter as and when referred by the MoWR and concerned agencies;
  • Render advice/comments (as and when asked) on related International disputes arising out of the water works constructed trans-border; or Likely to be constructed in neighboring countries having repercussions on the river flows of Pakistan
  • General liaison with international organizations on matters related to water resources, irrigation, drainage, flood control, etc.
  • Pakistan is a member of the International Commission on Irrigation & Drainage (ICID) since 1953.
  • This Wing works as the Secretariat of Pakistan National Committee (PANCID) of ICID. The details activities performed by FFC in year 2023 may seen an Annual Report 2023.
