The irrigation network of Pakistan is one of the largest contiguous irrigated systems in the World. The snow-clad peaks of the mountain ranges in the North continuously re-charge the system. The descending snow-melt and monsoon waters flow into the country’s Indus River System and its tributaries.
Ministry of Water and Power, Government of Pakistan through Federal Flood Commission (FFC) under Water Sector Capacity Building and Advisory Services Project (WCAP) program engaged NESPAK in association with Deltares of The Netherlands for ‘Development of National Flood Protection Plan-IV .
